Security Officer Training Solutions – a product of Smart Horizons

Security training has been at the heart of our curriculum development team’s efforts for nearly 20 years.

As the training industry evolved, Smart Horizons grew from Advanced Systems Technology with High Impact Training Solutions (HITS) supporting the security communities to Security Officer Training Solutions that now assumes the watch.

From our start with computer-based training (remember floppy disks and CD-Roms?) to our online training hosted on a world-class learning management system, we strive to make affordable quality training available when security professionals need it.

We have helped train professionals as diverse as federal law enforcement officers, guard and reserve personnel preparing for activation, members of U.S. Capitol Hill police organizations, protection officers at colleges and universities as well as students who are pursuing degrees in law enforcement, veterans across the world, and the personnel of many Fortune 500 companies (including 3 of the top 10) across 6 of the 7 continents. Regardless of whether it is an individual subscriber or an agency enrolling more than 250K participants, our focus remains the same — to help each individual succeed.

Did you forget your password, and now you can not access your online training? This tutorial will guide you through the steps needed to pick a new password. Once you request to change your password, an email will be sent to the email that you provided when you registered.

The email will contain a link for you to click on. Clicking on the link will allow you to choose a new password. Tip: This information works for all NexPort Campus users.

The link in the email is only active for 24 hours. If you do not click on the link, your old password will still be usable.

Detailed steps are outlined below. Clicking on any of the images will open that page in a new window.

  • Navigate to your Login page - Just below the area where your Login information is entered, click on the blue “I cannot access my account” link. This will take you to the Help page.
    • Start Password Reset
  • Select the “Reset your password” link -This will take you to a page that will start the reset process.
    • Reset your password
  • Enter your Login information & select the “Continue” button
    • Enter your system email and select “Continue.”

If the Login was

  • Recognized: You will receive a “success” message. Check the email address that is associated with your account. You will receive instructions explaining how to complete the password reset process. The link contained in the email will only be active for 24 hours.
  • Incorrect: You will see an error message. Please return to the Help page and re-enter your Login name. If you are still not successful, please email Customer Support using the link on the Login page, or call (855) 777-8031.

Please allow 2 business days to receive your user name and password. Follow-up queries may be sent to info@smarthorizons.org; please include the order number from your email receipt.

Each individual subscription allows a user access to training for 365 days from purchase date.
