Health Care That Works (HCTW) is a course that was created to enhance participants ability to understand diagnosis and treatment for a variety of medical and orthopaedic conditions including injuries and conditions of the knee, shoulder, elbow, hand, wrist, foot, and ankle. Participants will learn strategies for working within the healthcare system to assure good outcomes.

Target Audience/Course Objectives:
This course is designed for nurses, case managers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, certified athletic trainers and physicians. It is intended that at the conclusion of the course participants should be able to:

From didactic lectures:
  1. Explain how participants will be able to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of common injuries and conditions
  2. Discuss how participants will better understand the needs of patients in all phases of treatment for these conditions
  3. Discuss how participants will be able to participate as part of the healthcare team in addressing common injuries
Refund/Cancelation Policy:
Andrews Research & Education Foundation (AREF) reserves the right to cancel this course due to insufficient enrollment. Students will be notified of cancellations within 20 calendar days of the course start date. If a course is cancelled for any reason, AREF will return any prepaid registration fees. AREF is not responsible for airline penalties related to the cancellation of an AREF course. Please be aware of the airline restrictions regarding nonrefundable airline tickets when purchasing an airline ticket.

Refunds for Conferences and Live Events:
If the request to cancel an order (registration) is received five (5) days prior to the start of the conference or live event, a refund minus processing fees will be issued to the customer.
