NexPort Extended Classroom (Web Studio) provides an easy to use, browser-based, web meeting and
production tool. Hold and record online meetings without audio bridges and teleconference fees. Show and
record presentations, collaborate via whiteboards, chat, talk and broadcast via web cam with no download
required to host or attend.
Attending web studio events requires no installation. Presenters may share documents, web cams, web pages,
whiteboards, pass control to multiple presenters - even record their meetings. Web studio supports Mac,
Windows, and Linux; all using off the shelf browsers (e.g., Safari, Explorer, Firefox). Features include:
- Live audio and video (microphones & web cams). Presenters and guests converse in high-fidelity audio
using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). With the addition of a simple web cam, presenters may provide
live video to the attendees. Additionally, presenters can allow any participant to use their web cam.
- Share PowerPoint slides and Adobe Acrobat documents. Presenters may upload any PPT, PDF, or
PPTX file on their hard drive and quickly share it with the audience. Presenters can also use the built in
laser pointer, annotation, and zoom tools.
- Share Whiteboards. With one click, presenters start sharing a multi-screen whiteboard. Presenters may
allow any participant to join in - editing each other's content - or limit white boarding to the presenter.
- Share Web Pages. As the presenter scrolls the web page on his/her computer, guests see the same
image, their view scrolling with the presenter's—all in real time. Visit a YouTube page and the video
presented will start playing on everyone’s computer - all in sync - ensuring the audience sees what the
presenter sees.
- Desktop sharing. With a light-weight plug-in, presenters can instantly share any activity on their computer
screen. Show the desktop, a Photoshop session, or even a game. Participants can view the activity on their
computers in full screen or via zoom controls.
- In meeting chat (public & private messages). In addition to the VoIP audio, users can conduct chat
sessions. Chat functionality is fully controlled by the presenter and recordable. Presenters and participants
may paste an important URL for everyone to visit in the public chat window or chat privately with just one
participant – all with a single click. Additionally, presenters can receive instant feedback on a question, or
check out the status of each participant, with using mood indicators and emoticons.
- Recording. With one click, presenters may record their productions. At the end of the event NexPort sends
them an email with the recording URL, which may be forwarded to others who could not attend. The
production can also provide presenters with a video embed code to paste the recording to a website.
Presenters may even download the recordings and edit them in Adobe® Flash®.
- Integrated scheduling. Presenters may schedule web events in advance, providing their guests with email
invitations to the event.
NexPort Extended Classroom (Web Studio) is simple, easy to use, and yet quite powerful. Integrated within
the NexPort environment, it eliminates requirements for additional tools and software, allowing
organizations and educational institutions to conduct web meetings with just the click of a mouse,
communicating with their constituents as needed.
