Job Description
Writes lesson outlines, describes media to support text, populates courseware content databases, and conducts quality assurance reviews of own work.
Responsibilities
- Organizes lesson materials provided by customer or gathered through research
- Scripts lessons or portions of lessons in a content outline format
- Describes and/or identifies visual media to accompany lesson content
- Coordinates with graphic and media specialists to obtain supporting media
- Revises content outlines based on editorial, content expert, client, and user comments
- Enters course data into courseware development system
- Performs quality assurance reviews of own work

Requirements
- Possession of, or substantial progress toward, a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (i.e., Instructional System Design (ISD), Education, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or Communications), or
- Five years documented experience in the design and development of technology-based instructional materials
NOTE: These may have been acquired by substantial prior military experience, particularly as an instructor, or by employment in public education.
