Job Description
Writes lesson outlines, describes media to support text, populates courseware content databases, and conducts quality assurance reviews of own work.

Responsibilities
  • Organizes lesson materials provided by customer or gathered through research
  • Scripts lessons or portions of lessons in a content outline format
  • Describes and/or identifies visual media to accompany lesson content
  • Coordinates with graphic and media specialists to obtain supporting media
  • Revises content outlines based on editorial, content expert, client, and user comments
  • Enters course data into courseware development system
  • Performs quality assurance reviews of own work

Requirements
  • Possession of, or substantial progress toward, a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (i.e., Instructional System Design (ISD), Education, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or Communications), or
  • Five years documented experience in the design and development of technology-based instructional materials

NOTE: These may have been acquired by substantial prior military experience, particularly as an instructor, or by employment in public education.
