Job Description
Responsible for recruiting, advising and managing students through the admissions and enrollment process, including data entry and transcript analysis. Works with a variety of methods to engage students and support student retention efforts.
Responsibilities
- Handles inbound and outbound calls to potential student leads with a target conversion rate established by the business
- Enters student data into systems, including enrollment, transcript evaluation, and communications
- Evaluates student transcripts to grant transfer credits
- Generates and distributes transcripts and diplomas upon request
- Maintains and audits student records in accordance with accreditation requirements, including requesting of official transcripts for any granted transfer credits
- Monitors and tracks student progress and contacts students in accordance with the student engagement model
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask effectively and efficiently
Requirements
- High School Teaching Certification in any subject, preferably in the State of Florida
- Bachelor’s degree
- Must have an excellent command of verbal, interpersonal, and professional presentation skills to accurately convey Smart Horizons Career Online High School’s information over the phone.
- 1-2 years of academic advisement, customer service, account management or relationship sales experience
- Ability to stay organized and work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
- Academic Advisement, Registrar or other related educational experience
- School admissions experience
